In “Palm Beach,” a Murderer’s Row of vintage yet durably sparkling Australian acting talent, combined with recent Oscar nominee Richard E. Grant, makes for a bright and eventful weekend in the sun at the eponymous northern Sydney enclave. The second feature-length directorial credit from actress-turned-director Rachel Ward following the resonant and well-received 2009 drama “Beautiful Kate,” this breezy yet sturdy dramatic comedy is aimed squarely at a mature demographic.


Dinner, the great monthly social event, will be at either Basil & Bedlam or SaltPepperNutmeg.  The cost for Cinema Ticket and Dinner inclusive is $45 for seniors and $53 for adults.

Nuclear energy – Australia’s answer to climate change?

Martin Thomas AM is a highly qualified retired engineer and his

presentation will address issues of cost, sustainability, safety and of

course spent fuel disposal. He will provide factual, well researched

information to support intelligent and informed debate on the potential

for currently illegal nuclear energy in Australia to contribute to the

challenges of climate change.

Our next field trip is a walk along The Goods Line in Ultimo and on to Darling Harbour. We will meet at the Southern Concourse of Central Station and then walk through to Railway Square to The Goods Line.. There will be plenty of opportunity for building and street photographs.

This will be our 10th annual photo competition. All photos are to be taken on Probus Warrawee outings and events between 26 October 2018 and 25 October 2019.


The photos will be judged by non Probus members and the results will be announced at the annual Christmas dinner in December
