NEXT GENERAL MEETING:
Friday: 28th November 2025
10am. at THE WARRAWEE CLUB
Our November 2025 Guest Speaker will be Dr Richard Harris. Dr Harris’s talk is entitled “Medical Adventures".
Dr Harris is a vascular surgeon in Hornsby, praised for his patient-centered approach, use of minimally invasive techniques, and care for patients as a whole person. He is described as approachable, passionate about his work, and committed to providing holistic care. Other notable details include his role as Chairman of the Medical Staff Council at Hornsby Hospital, his interest in medical education, and his work as an author.
Dr Harris's novel “Imagine” is not only a book, it's a dream. Based on Lennon's song Imagine , Harris takes these few inspiring revolutionary words and pours life into them. His book is a love story, a journey , a time travel, back to ourselves, to how life was supposed to be in the first place, and maybe can still be. It challenges us to think differently, out of the box, to believe, to hope, to rebel against everything history told us we should do or should be.
It dares us to open our eyes and see what we are missing, and suggests what we can do so we live a life worth living.
Dr Harris currently practices at Sydney Adventist Hospital and Hornsby District Hospital.
